Q: How did you come up with the name uncontainable.letters?

Couple weeks before Ate Jenn had asked me and Pia to help with features, our church had a setlist with the song Uncontainable Love by Elevation Worship.

At the time, it was one of my favorites and it still is! The song talks about how God’s love overwhelms everything else, and is greater then anything else. I hope my lettering/account translates that.

Q:What initially inspired you to do lettering?

Back a couple years ago Ate Jenn lead a workshop at JesusWalk. Me and Pia both went in for it and was super cool! After the conference, I then saw Instagram lettering posts everywhere, and the interest grew more and more!

Q:What’s your favorite food of all time?

Ooooo that’s a tough one, but if I’d have say it would be pizza. Fettuccine Alfredo pizza if we fancy that day! Haha

Q:Do you have any other hobbies besides lettering?

Well for I play the guitar and bass for my church’s worship team.  Another hobby I have is playing video games.

Q: What has been your hardest piece/biggest challenge so far?

One of the biggest challenges I’ve had was the Cityline Women’s event. I still wasn’t too experienced with lettering and had no confidence in myself. In some ways I still don’t, but now that I’ve had that experience I think I’ve grown and learned from it to be more prepared.

Q:What was your biggest lettering mishap/oopsie while creating a piece?

This isn’t the biggest, but more of a consistent oopsie. Whenever I make a block of watercolor I get too impatient for the block to dry, so then when I start lettering the ink just bleeds with the water. I end up having to over about three times because of my impatience. Haha!

Q:Do you hope to inspire others with what you’re doing?

I really do hope so! Not only to begin lettering, but to also lean on God. Whenever I see other people’s work I get that exact same feeling. So to be that inspiration would be an honor!

Q:Since you began lettering, how has it affected your walk with God?

Lettering has honestly tugged my heart my times. Although there are times where the drive just isn’t there, I know God is still working through me, and there’s a reason why God has shown this chance to learn lettering. It has shown me verses I probably wouldn’t have stumbled on my own without lettering.
